That's because they are search bots & archivers, not people |

Have you done any research to see if it is local people? It would be nice to see this forum used more, it seems to be linked to from several of the local parish council websites.
I have a theory that the reason that I didn't know any of my neighbours despite living for 11 years in Piddington, wasn't specifically that their wasn't a community somewhere, but that there was nothing for me personally to get involved in, and also I had a 'community' life elsewhere, several actually.
I would encourage people to sign up and join in. Is there a way I can be notified of any new posts throughout the entire site?
Good job and keep up the good work, I'm sure it's just a matter of time... |

The purpose of this site is to provide a conduit for people to chat with their parish councillors and for councils to "bounce" ideas.

You can select to be notified of any postings to threads which you're contributing by ticking the "Notify me when a reply is posted" box"
If/when this forum gets busy we will be looking for people to take on the role of moderators which gives access to more advanced facilities. _________________ Thank you

Instead of sitting on here waiting for the community to come to you. Why don't you go to them.
I am a paraplegic, and I would love for someone to knock on my door. Instead of watching people pass by. |

As you had a 'community' life elsewhere, it's quite clear that you were not around to be involved in anything locally.
Obviously you could have brought your interests from 'elsewhere' to your own community. Why did you not start up a scheme for people to get involved in, if you are that community minded. |

That'll be because my community life somewhere else involved going down the pub with my mates, probably not the best activity for the local families to joinmh in with, especially knowing my mates |
